In early March, when my wife and I applied for visas to Chile we also helped our daughter, Emily Grace Venables, to submit an application with the relevant documentation and photo uploaded. Emily is an Australian citizen who has been travelling in Central and South America over the last seven months and is currently living in Panajachel, Guatemala. On the 7th March Emily received an email which summoned her to an interview at the Chilean consulate in Guatemala City the next day but she was unable to attend. Emily has called the Embassy but has been unsuccessful in speaking to someone who can help. At the end of this message, I include a copy of the email that Emily received on the 7th March. My wife and I are worried that time is running out and Emily may not be issued a Visa that will allow her to travel to Chile next month.
