I called your Sydney Consulate this morning at about 12:10 with a question regarding e-visa. I found the attitude of the woman answering the phone very poor.

My wife who holds both a British passport and an Australia passport and myself who only holds an Australian passport will be transiting through Santiago airport arriving at 11:05am on 5/12/23 and stopping overnight at the Holiday Inn at the airport and departing for Brazil on the 6/12/23 at 11:15 am. Do we need visas for such a short stay?

Good morning, I am a male Australian Citizen who will be travelling through Santiago Arturo Merino Benitez Airport both ways during my flights from Sydney to Buenos Aires and return. These dates will be 31st October 2023 and 19th November 2023. Both times will be a 5 hour stop between flights. At this stage I do not know if QANTAS and LATAM will transfer my luggage between planes or if I will need to claim it and relodge it. Will I need to obtain a Visa for these stops at the Airport? Your advice will be helpful.
